The Libyan Muslim Brotherhood published a statement on its Facebook page on May 2, 2021 titled “A Statement for the People, and it was remarkable that it announced what it called a transition to an association called “Revival and Renewal.” This announcement comes a month and a half after the new Libyan government headed by Abdel Hamid al-Dabaiba assumed the reins of power and the start of stabilizing conditions in Libya in preparation for holding elections.
Here we can refer to what can be considered an Islamic tradition, which is the tradition of revisions that Islamist groups usually resort to whenever they feel that the conditions are not conducive to them to impose their plan of political empowerment and hegemony over the state and society.
In this regard, the Muslim Brotherhood/Libya branch appears to be involved in the strategies followed by other Brotherhood groups in interacting with developments in the local, regional and international reality, and responding to the challenges and dangers they pose, following the example of the original Egyptian group.
With the approach of the Libyan election season, the Brotherhood in Libya changed its robe to continue to spray its poison on the Libyan street, and to create more conspiracies.
The group announced, in a statement published on its official page on the social networking site Facebook, that it had transformed into an association called "Revival and Renewal".
The terrorist group's statement said: "The Association for Revival and Renewal will perform its mission in Libyan society through its diligent work in various fields of work, and that the decision to transform came after it held a series of seminars and workshops in preparation for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
